It is located in On Ting Estate in Tuen Mun. The bi-sessional school was established in 1984 and converted into whole-day operation in 1994.
The school’s future development will mainly be the School-based Curriculum Development. The school will continue to make corresponding adjustments to the curriculum to enable students to learn in a more lively, enjoyable, proactive and effective way. It includes eight key learning areas, nine generic skills, values and attitudes. As to the short-term emphasis, it will be promoting the project learning, information technology, moral education and civic education. It is expected that the coordination between the above aspects can enable the students to finish primary school meaningfully and lay a solid foundation for their futures.
Y.O.T. Tin Ka Ping Primary School, a whole-day primary school in Tseung Kwan O, was found in February 1999. There are 30 classes in total from Primary 1 to Primary 6 with more than 700 students. To implement the school motto of being well-behaved and diligent, being self-confident and a good companion, the school has been committed to developing holistic education, building a solid knowledge foundation for students and cultivating their interest in reading. Diverse learning activities are also provided, including school teams and interest groups such as ice hockey, pottery, robotics, tennis and golf ball.
