“Children represent the future, and ensuring their healthy growth and development ought to be a prime concern of all societies.” The World Health Organization (WHO) Yan Oi Tong acknowledges some youth in Hong Kong who have various special diseases. If the resources are insufficient, it will lead to delayed diagnosis, and hinder healthy growth and development. In view of this, we deliberately establish the Yan Oi Tong Mrs Shi Lop Tak Youth & Children Medical Foundation (the Fund), providing subsidies in medical treatments and drugs for grassroots children and teenagers, in order to increase the attention and concern from the public.
Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Funding Scheme has started from the first stage of the Fund, targeting children aged six to eight who diagnosed with ADHD. The programme will hire psychiatrists to provide ADHD children with diagnosis and assessment services.
